Summers in Chicago are always a highlight for me. I just got back from finishing up another Urban Connexx project where over 1,000 high school students and adults spent eight weeks serving our ministry partners in Chicago. This is our third year joining Lifeway Ministries to promote and facilitate this awesome outreach. While the numbers aren't compiled yet, we know from experience that nearly $1 million of gifts, labor, and materials were given by these suburban youth groups from around the country. What a tremendous blessing for our frontline workers!
We work year-round in helping to set it up and see God move. This partnership with Lifeway/M-Fuge also allows us the funds to hire a part-time City Networker, JP Paulus. JP has done a marvelous job in connecting our partners with local resources. Check out what's going on in Chicago on our Chicago Network page.
I have more stories to share than time or space allows. So we thought pictures this month might tell the story just as well. Thanks again and we love you so much for showing and sharing your love on behalf of those we serve in Chicago and around the country.
