About YouthPartnersNET

Built on the belief that the hope of children and youth living high-risk communities can be restored and their potential be released in Jesus' name through focused partnerships with local church and community organizations, YouthPartnersNET [YPN] launched its nationwide ministries July 1, 2003. With over 30 years of life-changing ministry as Compassion International's USA Ministry, YPN continues to partner with hundreds of local and regional organizations strategically targeting the development of three key areas: Networking, Education and Training.

About YouthPartnersNET

History of YouthPartnersNET

From 1973 thru 2002, Compassion International worked with local churches in poor neighborhoods to impact the lives of Children and Youth. In 2000, Dean Cowles was asked to lead this unique ministry with his extensive experience in building urban church ministries and entrepenural gifts. With the growth potential and unique circumstances surrounding Compassion's USA Ministry, it was felt that the USA arm of Compassion's worldwide outreach could be better served and reach more children by launching out as a separate organization.

Therefore with Compassion's support, start up funds, and continued blessing YouthPartnersNET was birthed July 1, 2003. Rev. Cowles was selected to lead this new organization as President in order to continue to build on the integrity, history, and values Compassion has embraced over the past three decades. Dean and his team look forward to the prospects ahead and believe God will bless this effort as together we reach out to those little ones suffering from spiritual and physical poverty right here in our own backyard.

Biblical Model

Our Biblical model stems from John 21, in that Jesus' instruction to cast their NETS on the right side of the boat, their catch was so big, it almost capsized the boat. YPN is determined to change what has been a slim "catch" from our society's neediest neighborhoods. First, we try to mend the nets to retain at-risk youth. YouthPartnersNET calls on thousands of donors and volunteers to help our 'catch and release' projects for children and youth. By partnering with existing local ministries, we empower communities to increase their catch and release children and youth from hopelessness and poverty.
