Built on the belief that the hope of children and youth living high-risk communities can be restored and their potential be released in Jesus' name through focused partnerships with local church and community organizations, YouthPartnersNET [YPN] launched its nationwide ministries July 1, 2003. With over 30 years of life-changing ministry as Compassion International's USA Ministry, YPN continues to partner with hundreds of local and regional organizations strategically targeting the development of three key areas: Networking, Education and Training.

Building the NETs for a Catch
Built on the vision to restore hope to high-risk children and youth and release their full potential in Jesus' name through supporting local church and community partnerships, YouthPartnersNET will launch its nationwide ministries July 1, 2003. Using John 21 as its biblical model, YPN plans to strengthen the nets of local ministries for a bigger "catch" to keep more of America's high-risk children and youth safe from falling through the cracks of hopelessness and poverty. With the intervention of YouthPartnersNET, these children and youth will ultimately be ready to be released back into their communities equipped for life with training, support, and hope.
With Compassion International's USA Ministry's 30 years of experience, YouthPartnersNET now partners with hundreds of local and regional organizations, strategically focusing on the development of three key areas in local ministry: networking, education, and training.
- The core goal of YPN is to bridge needs with resources by:
- • Forming urban to suburban partner-ships
- • Providing weekly neighborhood faith-based program experiences with a potential of reaching thouands of children and youth
- • Training an army of indigenous children and youth workers
- • Developing local leadership to increase local ministry capacity
- • Strengthening fundraising systems for our ministry partners
- • Challenging new donors to support these efforts
We must mend the nets to prevent the loss of at-risk youth in America. They will continue to be lost unless we fill in the gaps of local ministries' lack of resources and training, understaffing, and burnout.
The children and youth of America's neediest neighborhoods require a deep understanding of the gospel-that they are forgiven and are of infinite value to God. Most will not be able to accept God's love without the visible proof of love and care from others. YPN's ministry partners include churches, neighborhood ministries, children/youth workers, and mentors. All of our partners need to be empowered as they make a difference one life at a time.
YPN's ministry partners spend time and energy in three targeted communities: the "Hood, Wood, and Rez," that is, the urban hood, rural woods, and Native American reservations. A veteran urban youth leader once said, "He who spends the most time wins." If our kids spend more time with gangs, bad influences win. If they spend more time at our Network Partner's ministry sites, we all win.
