Shop and Give Back Fundraiser Benefits Ministries at No Cost
February 1, 2007 – Due to a new partnership with Community Plus, YPN and our network of ministry partners have access to a new fundraising program that doesn't cost the ministry or your donor anything!
Community Plus provides a unique and innovative win-win approach to fundraising for certified non-profit organizations. It's called Shop and Give Back, an online mall with over 600 merchants including giants like Wal-Mart, Amazon, Best Buy, Office Depot, Travelocity, United Airlines, Sears, just to name a few.
You, your board, staff, volunteers, donors, and friends can buy groceries, a plane ticket, or a new pair of shoes and all of these merchants will donate a portion of each purchase to the designated charitable organization. These donations can be significant! The average donation is about 5% and a suprising number of merchants offer donations of 7%, 12% or more. How great is that – our everyday purchases now give back to our community!
